Hi, I'm Mari Carpeneti and I live in Juneau, Alaska. Last November I was working as a carpeneter and trying to figure out what to do with my life, (it was my first year out of college), when I ran into Peter McKay in the grocery store who told me they needed one more crew. I used to teach little kids to sail 420s in the Gastineau Channel, so the Rocket Science is definitely a step up. I've spent the last year fixing up our family sailboat, though, and so have learned enough to convince Phil that I actually know what I'm doing around the boat - we'll see how that pans out mid-Atlantic.
